Singapore - Guangzhou - Hefei

May's parents saw us off at Changi airport. The flight to Guangzhou was very smooth - we were pleasantly surprised at the standard of China Southern airlines, a far younger fleet that the US domestic carriers. The aerial views of Guangzhou city showed a huge, sprawling city with modern buildings. The airport was world class. We struggled to fight jet lag during our 4-hour layover. It was a great idea to have bought the Star Wars sticker book for Josh - kept him occupied for over an hour!

We slept on the 2 hour flight to Hefei. Greeted by our friendly guide and driver, who were first shocked at our boxes of luggage, until they learned it wasn't our clothes! The Holiday Inn is great - it came equipped with a crib, and stroller for Miranda.

We meet her at 830am tomorrow.. can't wait!
