We checked into the Marriot Newark this evening and spent some time at the lounge watching airplanes take off over dinner. After some food and a warm bath, the kids are in their PJs and relaxing in the room.
On our 18 hour flight (non stop from Singapore), Miranda was an angel. She ate and slept when she was supposed to, and slept snugly in the bassinet (her first and last time, probably!). Each time she fidgeted to shift position, I had to wake up and physically move her, since there was no room for her to shift herself.
Lots of neighboring travellers on the flight commented that she was a pro at flying, being so well behaved and good natured. She really was. :)
We cleared customs with no issues, and were greeted by sub-zero weather at 530pm in the evening. We hope that the wintry mix weather forecasted for tomorrow will not delay our flight home to Charlotte.
