Zithromax, Pulmicort, Berodual, Mucolytic, Tylenol, Motrin - what a smorgasbord of medicines, after our visit to Dr Allyson today! After her 3rd consecutive day of fever, Miranda had her first doctor's visit. She had to be nebulized for a chesty cough and congestion in her respiratory airways, which explains her persistent cough.
Apart from a depleted apetite, she has responded fairly well to the medicines. She fell asleep easily (instead of fussing and fighting her itchy throat) tonight, and we hope she will be rounding the bend soon. She is a different baby when ill - listless and fussy, u nlike her cheerful and cheeky self.
Please pray that she will be well soon! And that she will be preserved from other infections, so that we can get her immunizations updated before we return to the US.
As you can imagine, we have been housebound - which isn't a bad thing. Lots more bonding time, although I can see her being spoilt by the day, by being held and cuddled by Mommy all day! Instead of being able to fall asleep by herself (like she did in China), she now needs to be rocked and cuddled... Of course, Daddy fails to comfort and console when she is fussy - I ought to patent "Mommy Glue" - it just sticks like crazy!
Still joyful and smiling,
May
