We are in California, on our first family vacation with Miranda!
After 3 days in San Diego, it was a 12 hour drive up to San Francisco, which took 5 hours longer due to LA traffic. We had planned on a coastal drive, but that was blown out of the water. Instead we stopped for lunch in Beverly Hills and plugged on through Highway 5 to Cupertino.
Miranda and Josh had a blast at Legoland on Wednesday & Thursday! We couldn't have asked for better theme-park weather. Both days were not exceeding 85F (27C). It was very pleasant. Miranda rode on many rides for the first time, but she preferred rides where she could be accompanied, instead of riding alone. She also did not like rides that took us through dark tunnels with laser beams shooting.. she enjoyed the thrill of Splash Battle (although not without complaints) and even the Dino Thunder (mini roller coaster). Those she enjoyed she rode several times over and over! Thankfully lines were not too bad (compared to Disney) so we were able to oblige.
Here in Cupertino, she is loving every moment at Uncle Alan & Aunty Suzanne's home, playing with Zachary. We went to San Francisco (Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown) today, and will be driving out to Napa Valley tomorrow. It's been a fun-filled vacation so far.. she has done really well eating and sleeping, and adjusting to the 3-hour time lag.
Promise the photos will follow.
