While still slower than the average 3 yr old, she is more expressive with a growing vocabulary. She can now grasp the concepts of "Why? ... Because", "it's not yours, it's mine". She asks, "Can you help me?" or "I need help!". While she is very independent, she can put on her socks and shoes, and dress herself. Sometimes she tries to do too much by herself. The other day, I caught her refilling her snack bowl, all by herself. The kitchen stool is her favorite tool - she carries it everywhere, to help reach light switches, to operate the microwave oven, to reach for her goldfish crackers etc.
Our little baby is growing up.. she will turn 3 next Monday!!
She has a concept of birthdays now - she understands that it involves cake, candles, balloons, party hats and presents!!
