New Biometric Passport!

Miranda is the first one in our family to have a biometric passport!

We collected her Singapore passport at ICA this morning - it was quick. She's now ready to fly!

Immigration Update:
Next thing she needs is a US visa on her passport, before she can return home to Charlotte. In order to do that, Daddy will need to fly back to Singapore and do 2 things:
- abandon his green card, and
- reapply for a work visa for himself, and a dependant visa for Miranda.

In light of the visa issues we faced several weeks ago, our immigration lawyers had given us 2 options: (a) have Miranda remain in Singapore (up to 2 yrs) while her green card is processed, (b) the above

So, Daddy will be back in mid August - and we hope to be able to get all this straightened out and fly home together, before Josh has to start school on Aug 27.

We're thankful the adoption process is completed, and that we have a way to bring our family back home, all 4 of us!
:)

May-I will continue to pray that all of this gets worked out very quickly. All of you pictures look so happy.

One thought before Jin abandons his green card is to make sure they haven't met any type of quota for the year from Singapore. I was reading in the paper a few weeks about about a bunch of people in America who applied for work visa (mostly from Mexico and South America I think), but after doing all the work and paying all the money they learned that the year's allotment of visas of their type had already been administered. Here is a link to at least one news story:

Just something to ask before giving it up. I pray everything works out smoothly!!

Great photo of Josh and Miranda. They look like they're having a great time. Congrats on the amazing progress so far. Beyond what most people (myself inclulded) would have expected. I'm sure the family will be together again in hte US soon enough, which will make all this worthwhile.
