First playdate of the school year

This is Vivianne. Her parents are Vietnamese, they live in our neighborhood, and ride the same bus. Both girls are classmates in Mrs Jorgensen's class, and Miranda hasn't stopped talking about Vi since the 2nd day of school.

It was the day she had been waiting for!!! Vi's mom dropped her off at 9:15 on her way to work, and both girls were happy at play - polly pockets, Barbie dolls, dollhouse, tea party, drawing, cooking...... The best part for me, was how nicely they both sat at lunch, finished their sandwiches while listening to the story of "Belle's Secret" as I read it to them. Easiest lunch ever! No chasing and coercing, threatening and forcefeeding involved! Done in 20 minutes, and off to the bus stop well ahead of schedule!

You can tell from the pics what a happy day it's been for her - she adores Vi, to the extent of mothering over her! Note how she holds her hand as they board the bus, the way she hugs her! Precious. I hope they become good friends.
